Ever wonder what the world’s most successful entrepreneurs looked like when they first started?
Ding, Ding, Ding…
Like beginners. They had no clue what they were doing.
Seriously. No one has it all figured out, especially in the early days.
But if you ever want to hit goals and reach the success you dream of – you must train yourself to start BEFORE you’re ready.
So that’s what we are going to discuss today.
For example… when I launched my first branding course in 2017 I had no clue what I was doing. I sure in the heck didn’t have any Master’s degree in brand marketing for e-commerce businesses, although I did waste thousands of dollars in college to get a Marketing degree which I still don’t use.
What happened is I had learned a few things about creative and content marketing… used it in my own business and KNEW this was important enough to share with other business owners.
So that’s what I did.
The thing was I WAS STILL LEARNING every week as I introduced more and more content to my clients.
To be honest, maybe I was a bit ignorant but I really didn’t think twice about it. I wasn’t questioning that I was a “beginner” at this …which meant I didn’t have the RIGHT or AUTHORITY to be selling what I was learning.
I just knew – I was learning things that more people needed to know about it. So I kept sharing it.
And it was my ignorance that led me here. I didn’t care what others thought. Because I knew this information was going to solve someone else’s problem just like it had mine.
I was simply the one learning as I was teaching it.
That is the plain truth. I learned as I taught.
And that system has served me well ever since.
It’s actually how I learn the best.
By teaching others.
Researching, doing, teaching… on repeat.
If you’re itching to start a business or bring your superpower to life… but feel overwhelmed about where to begin… start teaching it.
Even if you have to grab a friend and offer to teach her for free in order to jumpstart your idea. Train yourself to DO the work with real humans who need your help.
That’s exactly what I’ve been doing for the last several months as I was preparing to launch my Stay in Your Lane Brand Method. By leveraging your knowledge to serve others, this 4-step method gives you the roadmap to building a profitable, passive business.
And in the case of my friend Kelly – I walked her through developing and creating a digital product offer that teaches other small farmers how to process chickens for sale.
So to talk about this… I’m super excited to have Kelly Shepherd as a guest. Be sure to LISTEN TO OUR FULL INTERVIEW at the audio link at the top of this page or on iTunes HERE!

I believe we are the result of what we know and where life has taken us. But we don’t have to be prisoners of it.
I’m all about living out our superpowers in order to serve others and to do that … we can’t continue residing within a familiar and comfortable territory.
What I’ve found is that when we venture out away from the familiar is when we become more courageous. We grow stronger and more capable.
I’m not telling you to go away from your core interest and beliefs… but I do think in order to serve others with them… we must open our hearts and mind to new ideas, awareness, and adventures.
Bottom line: As long as you are breathing, you are only just beginning… and the world really does need that special superpower that only YOU have… even if it’s at a beginner level.
If you don’t bring it to life, the world doesn’t get a chance to see and know it. There’s a reason for your life experience and only you have the superpower to share it.
