Podcast Show Notes

Are you still struggling to increase your website traffic? Your business might be at a standstill when it comes to attracting new customers, and that’s not where you want to be. It’s time for a change! But how do you maintain and grow traffic to your site? In this article, we’ll explore 10 proactive techniques that will help you keep growing your website traffic.

Why do you need a Website for your business?

So I believe a website is a non-negotiable and integral part of any business because it provides a way to connect with current and potential clients. A website can also provide information about your business, products, and services and showcase testimonials from happy customers. A website is also a great way to collect email addresses to keep in touch with your clients and market to them in the future.

And if you need more reasons why your business needs a website, refer to Branding Bites Podcast Episode #69. Inside that episode, I shared 10 Reasons Why Your Small Business Needs A Website Immediately.

Why getting more website traffic is crucial to your success

Getting more website traffic is crucial because it means that more people will visit your site, and you can showcase your brand all of the hard work you put into it. You want to bring in as much traffic as possible because this increases the likelihood that people will buy products or services from you.

What’s the point of having a website if nobody ever sees it? Simply put, traffic equals success. If you’re trying to make money from your site, the number of visitors you get is an essential metric for determining its profitability.

If you don’t want to take steps to increase your web traffic, that’s understandable: it’s a lot of work, and not all “hacks” for traffic generation actually work. But without any additional visits, your business will never grow, and you’ll end up with nothing but an unused webpage.

The truth is that as long as you have something online people can find and visit, there are ways to improve how often they come back for more.

So yes, Website traffic is a big deal. If you don’t have enough of it, your business might not grow and thrive.

But what if I told you that there are many things that you can do to increase website traffic?

For instance, you could be proactive and provide information that people want to read or post content at the best times of the day so that as many people see it as possible. There are also things like search engine optimization and social media marketing techniques that can be used to gain more website traffic.

10 Proactive Techniques to increase website traffic

So I want to dive into 10 proactive ways for you to keep your website traffic growing!

1. Provide valuable content

Providing valuable content will help attract new visitors who might not have found your site otherwise. It also will help you rank higher in search results.

You can provide valuable content for website traffic and get visitors to your site by talking about topics in your blog article that your niche audience is interested in.

This will help you grow a more engaged audience, which most businesses are looking for these days. So if you don’t know the exact questions your ideal client has, it’s time to do more research on your niche audience.

2. Use social media marketing

Social media platforms are a great way to connect with potential customers and promote your business. You can also use them to drive traffic to your website.

By spoon-feeding your audience with just enough helpful content in your captions about your blog article that hooks them, you can then direct them to your website to read the full article. Then once on your site, you can have specific Call To Actions that would lead them to purchase a coordinating product or service.

3. Post at the best times

So this would be more about when you post to social media. If you post during off-hours, the chances are that not as many people will view them because they won’t be online. You should find out when your target audience is browsing the social platform and post then!

A great way to know these stats is to use a scheduling app such as Sked. It will show you the days of the week your audience is online most and the specific time to make your posts!

4. Optimize your website for search engines

One of the most important things you can do to increase website traffic is to optimize it for search engines. This means using the correct keywords and ensuring that your site is easy to navigate.

Optimizing your website will help you rank higher in organic search results on sites such as Google and Pinterest, which means that more people will see your site. It can also help you attract new visitors who might not have found your site otherwise.

5. Use paid advertising

Paid advertising can be a great way to get your website in front of more people. You can use platforms like Google AdWords, Pinterest, or Facebook Ads to reach a larger audience.

6. Create a strong branding strategy

A strong branding strategy will help people remember who you are and what you stand for. This will help you attract new customers and keep them coming back. 7. Use blog posts

Blog posts are a great way to attract new website visitors. Besides improving your search engine ranking, an active blog will allow you to gain trust and credibility with your niche audience, thus leading to more opportunities for revenue.

Encourage people to share your blog articles or other content on their own social media platforms by including share icons and links. This will increase the chance that more people will see it!

9. Utilize influencer marketing

If someone with a large following shares an article from your site, you could gain a lot of exposure in a short amount of time. Influencers can also send users back to your website when they share their link.

10. Set up an email marketing campaign

If you use an email management tool such as Drip or Zoho, you can send out newsletters to people who have subscribed or share your blog content with them directly. This is a great way to reach out to new customers and encourage repeat website viewers!
